Greg & sidekickGregory True, AIA is principal of GTrue Studio.  He has over 30 years of combined experience as an architect and, prior to that, as a builder and contractor.  He has degrees in the fine arts and architecture, and appreciation and experience in many architectural styles and project types.    He has proven skills as both a design team leader that gets results and as a responsive collaborator.  With deep understanding of design and construction, his range of experience provides the perspective to be an inventive problem solver and to achieve excellent results.  Mr. True strives for rational design solutions and Architecture that integrates elements of delight.  He has project-tested relationships with sub-consultants and other design professionals to respond to projects large and small.

Recent projects emphasize existing buildings that required both adaptive reuse and renovation/restoration, including a number of performing arts venues.  For the last thirteen years Mr. True has worked primarily on projects in the public sector. Prior to that he worked extensively on custom residential projects, including projects that utilized passive solar design.  He has also been a lecturer at the University of California, Davis in the Department of Environmental Design.
